How long is the program?

One week. You arrive at the Ashram at 1:30 pm Sunday and leave at 11:00 am on Saturday.

What airport do we arrive at?

Los Angeles International Airport.

How do I get to the Ashram?

We will pick you up at a designated location. No cars are permitted on the property.

What do I need to bring?

You will receive your packing list once you make your reservation. Good hiking shoes are a must. We will furnish you with sweat suits, t-shirts, robe, and hiking poles.

Can I bring my computer or cell phone?

We prefer that you disconnect from the outside world for optimal results. Our guests have come to understand over the years that the world can wait.  We are wireless.

What information do you need from me?

Your name, age, and general state of health. We will also need to know any medications you are currently taking, as well as your current level of physical activity.

What level of physical activity should I be prepared for?

Enough to hike at least 9 miles a day.

How many calories will I eat per day?

We do not count calories. We are more concerned providing you with a wholesome vegetarian diet. Our motto is “Increase your activity and decrease your food intake, and your body will do the rest.”

What else should I know?

Our web site should answer most of your questions. You are welcome to phone our office anytime between 9am and 5pm PST Monday through Friday. Lynette or Jay will be happy to answer all your questions. We will try our best to provide you with a stress-free, comfortable and fulfilling week in which all of your needs will be met. This is the Ashram way.
